After much consideration and testing we finally pushed this feature in production and based on the collected data so far we are extremely pleased with the results. Nginx is a perfect solution in replacement for Apache. Not only as Nginx is offering blazing fast performance and speed, but also great for security! Nginx uses an asynchronous event-driven approach to handling requests, similar to Apache HTTP Server Event MPM model. Nginx's modular event-driven architecture can provide more predictable performance under high loads. Nginx has the ability to handle more than 10,000 simultaneous connections with a low memory footprint. What’s next?

It is important to mention that we will continue to work on this great new feature of Nginx. We already have set several optimized modification to make our clients’ websites even faster. Simple Apache Benchmark (ab) tests reveal a phenomenal increase in concurrent requests served per second, from just 3-300 in Apache to 15,000-20,000 or even more using Nginx via our custom modifications.
